Frequently Asked Question
Consultant Inspection
•
Question:
If a consultant has to provide an inspector for a short-term assignment (to cover for an inspector on vacation or to assist with a deck pour, night shift, weekend work, or any other operation), does that inspector have to “equal or exceed the qualifications of staff proposed in SOI.”?
•
Answer:
“Substitute” inspectors used for short-term assignments, one month or less, to cover for an inspector on vacation must have to equal or exceed the qualifications of the staff proposed in the SOI. Additional staff, up to the number listed in the SOI, to assist with a deck pour, night shift, weekend work, or any other operations must have to equal or exceed the qualifications of the staff proposed in the SOI. Staffing above the number committed to in the SOI are not subject to the substitution rule.
