Delete Items from an Addendum

Description

This function allows users to delete items (including items/quantities, plans, attachments, or special provisions) from an addendum before the addendum is published. Note that this function does not delete the data from the project, but merely unlinks the information from the current addendum. For example, the Design Project Manager creates an addendum and selects several existing design items to modify via the addendum. Midway through the process, the project manager determines that one of the items does not need to be modified. This process allows the user to delete the link between the item and the addendum, but does not delete the item from the project.

The Delete Items from an Addendum function is accessed from the appropriate addendum-related screen (Item Details, Alternate Grouping, Project Development Checklist Detail, or Project Specific Special Provision) when the user clicks the Delete button and confirms the deletion.

At any time after the addendum has been saved, a draft of the Addendum Report and Current Proposal Report .PDF's can be generated. A 'Pending Generation' label/link appears while the system is creating and processing the files. The user can monitor the progress of this process by clicking on the link, which displays the Document Publishing Monitor. When completed, a document link appears that allows the user to view, download, or print the .PDF document.

This function is available to any user with create/update access to the addendum. Refer to "How Do I Create Addendum" for a detailed explanation of security.

Note: When processing an addendum, the Select checkbox is hidden for the AND and OR items if they were placed on the addendum as a result of the user's selecting the EITHER item for addendum processing.
