This screen is part of the Surety Services subsystem and is used to assign power of attorney for the surety company to producers associated with a bonding agency. The Power of Attorney Maintenance screen is accessed when an authorized surety company user clicks the Power of Attorney item beneath the Surety Services option on the navigation bar. The screen opens in read mode and displays only those producers who are already designated within ECMS as having power of attorney for the surety company. (Note: The surety company may set up users within its BPID with the user group Bond Approver. In this case, the system automatically gives them power of attorney functionality for that surety company but does not display them on this screen.) This screen also allows the Bonding Agency to view their POA info and allows ECMD and BOD CMD to select and view POA information in read mode.

When the user clicks the Edit button on the Power of Attorney Maintenance screen, the screen switches to edit mode and displays all of the bonding agencies available in the system. The list is displayed in collapsed mode, meaning that the actual producer names are hidden. If the user clicks the twistie in front of the bonding agency name, the list expands to show the "Bond Approver" users (i.e., the producers) for each agency. The user designates one or more of the listed producers as having power of attorney by clicking in the checkbox in front of the producer's name and saving the screen.
