Consultant Inspection Question:
What are the criteria for providing substitute inspectors?

Answer:
If the start of the work is delayed by more than ten working days the Consultant is entitled, if necessary to provide substitutes that are equal to or exceed the qualifications of the staff proposed in the Statement of Interest, as approved by the Department or seek relief by contacting the Contract Management Section, Highway Delivery Division.The Consultant must clearly describe the reason for the substitution request and must demonstrate that the substitute is equivalent or better based on one or more of the following:
• Equal or Higher Pay Grade, or
• Total Experience, or
• Experience on that Type of Project
The Consultant must be able to back the qualifications of substitution. Substitutions may only be made after the Consultants have exhausted all Inspector listed in Letter of Interest.
